Is it beauty or brains? It has been said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...however, lasting beauty and brains seldom come into one. Intelligence goes deeper than attractiveness or beauty, ever doubt it?

Discovering the gift of writing

Writing is a gift for the chosen few, some discovered their talents early on in life, but in my case, it was at a later stage as I breached my golden years.
While studying in the University, there were no manifestations that I can write creatively. As an Engineering student, we were more inclined into the mastery of technical report writing. The style of which is relatively different than what I am doing in my blogs and articles.

Our country celebrates Father's Day every third Sunday of June, and this year it falls on June 19. During this time  of the year, the king of our home is given a treat and showered with gifts. However, because he is onboard,  let this be an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth asking himself, some of life's finest questions on the very important role of fatherhood in the molding , nurturing, and shaping of our only child's being. Conversely, for our son too, a time to assess as to how his  father had fared in his eyes as a DAD.

You may not be perfect and  an ideal father, and You may have thought I  that I didn't see, nor I hadn't heard, all the Life lessons  you had taught to me. However, I got every word of it.
Perhaps, you thought that I missed it all, during the times that we'd grown apart. Keeping my distance and silence was not a revenge, nor a prodigal daughter's  vengeance. It was my way of respecting your choice. It's because I know that as a Father,
you always wanted what's BEST for your children.
