Gone but not Forgotten

Memory can tell us only what we were,

In the company of those we loved.

It cannot help us find out what each of us,

Alone, must now become.

Yet, no person is really alone;

Those who live no more still echo,

Within our thoughts and words,

And what we have become.

Woven into what we are today.

Papa, you may be physically gone 

but  you will never fade away...

You bloomed and will forever live in our  hearts.

People will always remember you in me,  from the way I walk.

Every hip sway I'll make is so you.

May we find comfort and strength in your memories. 

God Bless you an Eternal rest, in a place where there is no pain and suffering.

It was a battle well fought.

Until we meet again... someday, somewhere, so you can cuddle me in your lap or carry me in your arms the way you used to do when I was a little girl!!!
